About our Ministry
The Ministry of International and Intergovernmental Relations which was previously known as the Ministry of Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations is now responsible for the following:
- Coordinating Alberta’s relationships with various levels of government in Canada and around the world.
- Enhancing Alberta’s national and international presence in areas such as export development, investment attraction and governmental relations on behalf of Albertans.
- Overseeing the work of Alberta’s Francophone Secretariat.
The former Aboriginal relations branch is now the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations.
